Allan has been painting on Anglesey over the past eleven years. His work has been shown in galleries throughout Wales and is in private collections in Britain and beyond. He has a particular interest in landscape painting and relationships between the natural and man made landscape and the effects of light. He has a Fine art degree fom the University of Wales. Allan has had solo exhibitions at Oriel Ynys Mon and Canolfan Beaumaris. In 2008 he won the peoples choice prize at the biannual exhibition of the Association of Anglesey Art Groups (Oriel Mon).  He is currently chairman of the Anglesey Art Group. Prior to coming to Wales he was a university lecturer. He lives in Brynsiencyn with his wife Lesley and youngest son Joseph.
